Darren Gannuch, MD, is a board-certified sleep specialist with certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Among the conditions he treats at the DeKalb Neurology & Sleep Center are sleep apnea, narcolepsy and restless legs syndrome.
Dr. Gannuch has been practicing sleep medicine since 2001 and started working at DeKalb Regional in October 2019. Dr. Gannuch chose to live and work in Fort Payne in large part because it is a smaller community. Patient care is far more effective when he has the opportunity to understand his patients’ circumstances and easily communicate with other health care providers. Dr. Gannuch also enjoys the opportunity to make a difference in his community by supporting the local hospital and other physicians on whom we all rely.
Dr. Gannuch received his medical training at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans and completed his residency training at Ochsner Medical Foundation in Jefferson, Louisiana.
